Filing fees depend on the type of case and are the same throughout the 7th Judicial District Courts.
The Court Clerks need the fees paid at the time the matter is filed, and they need the exact fee paid. The Court Clerks accept cash, money orders and cashier’s checks. Personal checks are not accepted. If a case has been closed, and more than ninety (90) days have passed, a new fee must be paid.

- Civil cases include civil lawsuits, probate cases, adult kinship/guardianship cases as well as adoption cases and name changes.
- Jury Demand
- 6 person jury
- 12 person jury

- $0.35/page, filing packets printed for this amount per page as well
- Certifications
- $1.50/pleading that is certified
- Notarizations
- $1.50 per notarized signature
- Audio of hearings
