Filing fees depend on the type of case and are the same throughout the 7th Judicial District Courts.
The Court Clerks need the fees paid at the time the matter is filed, and they need the exact fee paid. The Court Clerks accept cash, money orders and cashier’s checks. Personal checks are not accepted. If a case has been closed, and more than ninety (90) days have passed, a new fee must be paid.
The fees are as follows:
- Domestic Relations Cases
- Domestic Relations cases include divorces, child custody and parentage cases and juvenile kinship/guardianship cases.
- Jury Demand
- 6 person jury
- 12 person jury
- Miscellaneous Fees
- $0.35/page, filing packets printed for this amount per page as well
- $1.50/pleading that is certified
- $1.50 per notarized signature
- Audio of hearings
